"But who will present the show if you bump me off, you muppets!" shrieked Kermit as he began to freak out again.
"Can't you see that I'm innocent? Hey you there..Super Grover...how about you do your hero stuff and save me?"
Holding knife and fork ready in hand, "Super Grover replied, "I'm looking forward to the menu tonight...barbequed frogs legs, a sophisticated dish for a sophisticated SUPER GROVER!"
Kermit gulped and backed out of the town hall, "You cannot be serious!" he yelled, but it was too late, he had been grabbed and was forcefully bound to a huge spit over a roaring bonfire.
"I can't believe this is happening!" shrieked Kermit as he began to get slightly crispy.
"Vell - Eezz not eesy being green!" snarled count dracula, "But ees efen harder to shange into ze werewolf when you're DEAD! ONE Krispy Kermit! 2 Krispy frog legs! 3? ha ha ha, no no no ze frog is NOT free he is 1 Krispy Kermit.........
"Besides," remarked Super Grover, "asking a Super Hero to save a werewolf is just going TOO far! You know what far is don't you...no? *stands still* Well this is near! *runs over to the other side of the square* THIS is far! Don't understand? No? *runs back to Kermit*
THIS is near! * runs back to the opposite side of the square* THIS is far........ (as you can imagine this continued for some time)
Kermit was still alive when the first howl was heard. By the time everyone had barricaded themselves in, they prayed that he would die before the change took him. Strangely his screams were soon heard, and the frogs legs on the menu were devoured with wolfish delight by the werewolves, not the muppets that night.
The night phase has begun and will continue until Sunday 25th May at 9pm GMT

Dawn breaks, and the villagers venture outside to see the count standing over what little remains of Kermit the frog, shaking his head sadly, saying: ONE innocent froggy, TWO sad for words, THREE now at last to play the banjo and sing on his lily pad up there in his heavenly swamp. FOUR what did we do this?
Across the square, River's defenses had been broken through once again, and unfortunately she had not invested more time and effort into winning special items to protect herself, therefore was also dead this morning.
As was becoming a way of life now - a double funeral was the first order of the day. With much sorrow and tears, Kermit and River were laid to rest, before the villagers made their way to the town hall for a little breakfast and the usual debate about what to do about the werewolf problem.
Another blow was soon to be dealt to the villagers and muppets alike. The night before a storm had damaged the telegraph lines to the other local villages also under attack. Just before they went down a message was sent:
No help coming - stop. We are on our own - stop. village numbers dwindling -stop. Any villager attacked who survives must be eliminated immediately in case they should turn -stop. Possibility a scratch as well as a bite may lead to infection - stop. Fear of being lynched is keeping victims silent. We must turn the tide soon or all will be lost! - stop.
The villagers look at each other in consternation. Whilst yesterday the attack on River had seemed to establish her innocence, they had not considered that she may have been infected and therefore turned when the moon had become full. Of course! this must be how the wolves were infiltrating all the villages!
Whilst each realized the importance of now keeping an eye out for those among them that had been attacked and could now be potential werewolves; deep inside villager and muppet alike shuddered and resolved to stay silent should they be attacked. After all - it was by no means certain that a scratch definitely led to infection, and since discovery meant the death penalty, it was smart to keep silent.
The day phase has begun and will last until Wednesday the 28th May at 9pm GMT

ok so things are still clear as mud so i have gone back over the previous posts and some fair points have been made. the lack of comment from some quarters could mean they are either guilty or just not big talkers and both river and hitashi have made good points and hitashi's last minute vote change from kermit looks like a sound one with the dragon being putin a new and not totally flattering light (sorry no muppet names this duel personality thing is making me dizzy and i keep forgetting whos who)so think ill sleep on it and see what everyone else has to say one of those lovely table would come in usefull about now...... hint hint

What a night! What a day! What a bloody terrible concert!I've been hiding at the bottom of my theatre box - both in fear of the wolves, and because I know that when I look up it will be at the empty seat of my companion and fellow heckler Statler.  We spent some time discussing the identity of probable wolves among the sheep:The simple fact is that we had both been looking in the general same direction - Kermit and Beaker. I was optimistic that they were both wolves and we would have short work in rooting out the last fuzzy fiend. Statler, however, had a feeling it was only one of the two - and do my chagrin after my last vote, that notion was proven so very very true!! My last minute vote change was because Kermit paid a visit to out theater box and made a very convincing plea for his innocence - but alas - too late!!So I urge my fellow villagers, the next vote is clear, and we need to act decisively to keep this show running. Beaker is the head of the beast, and therefore needs to be slain!! Any wolfish attempts at establishing innocence is boulderdash! Vote!!!! BEAKER!!!meep now you evil muppet eater

River is usually so incredibly accurate with her intuitive guesswork and suppositions...How did this happen? Up until she posted I truly believed in Kermit's innocence, and said so - in the face of almost unanimous opposition, and a partridge in a pear tree! I thought for sure she must be onto something concrete. or I would never have changed my vote! And here we are - another day, another funeral, yet still no cunning werewolf to be seen. And now no doubt, I will be the next innocent to be framed and lynched come nightfall.
I have no way to convince you of my innocence, I can only hope you wake up and realize how wrong you are before it's too late and another innocent is killed off.
I am more than upset at the untimely demise of my good friend kermit. I should never have changed my vote - River this is the last time I take any notice of any suppositions you put forward - I have been led astray by your reasoning which was utterly wrong! Now the same mob who viciously attacked Animal and Kermit and are no doubt responsible for your death will likely come for me at nightfall.
It is like Nazi ~Germany all over again:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me......
Only this time:

Because I was not hairy or violent with possible werewolf tendencies.
Then they came for Kermit, and I did not speak out,
because I was not green and had been led to believe that banjo playing frogs from the swamp were werewolves in disguise.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me......
If this is my final sketch - then let it be in honour of my dear friends - fallen, but not forgotten then leave me alone for pity's sake - for these next few hours to grieve for my friends in peace before you march over here in your jack boots to take me away. And who do these bunch of muppets think is guilty? (see clip in memory of Animal and Kermit) Shame on you all.

so the finger points firmly in beekers direction much as river was suggesting since froggy turned up crispy but innocent. cookie monster and super grover were also suggested and their silence since then does not inspire trust are they being quiet to keep the focus on an innocent beeker OR could it be more twisted with river having pegged them and they are ALL wolves??? going to hold off on my vote for now as i'll be interested to see how these 3 vote first

I've made no secret if the fact that I like cookie monster for a werewolf (voting first night, then by accusation the next day quickly followed up by him voting for me) and it seems my fellow villagers feel the same way. So, because there's safety in numbers I will change my vote
I vote for cookie monster !!
However in light of my last statement we know exactly where to look for the next wolf, and calling out beaker so openly may well lead to my demise tonight. If I do, know that I take my trusty silver bullet into the fray! If I must go down, it WILL be fighting!

Quickly I scurry onstage for my next act - wondering why everyone seems hell bent on attacking poor Beaker. (Though I suppose banana's are a small improvement on rotten fruit or the large wolfish fangs of our resident salad!)
I concur regarding Cookie monster, his silence looks like guilt!....yet I wonder? My suspicions lie elsewhere for the mastermind of this operation!

"Me no want eat muppets! ME eat cookies!" said cookie monster, baffled as to why he was being handcuffed and his precious cookies taken away from him.
A glimmer of hope surged through him as he was led across the village square towards the bakery.
"You grant me final cookie request???" he said hopefully, as he was escorted through the kitchen to the large ovens.
"Ah you make joke with cookie monster and now you present me with giant cookie - make me very very happy!"
The huge oven door was opened to reveal the largest yummiest chocolate chip cookie in the history of the universe. Delighted Cookie monster ran inside, and grabbing the giant cookie, he began to munch, not noticing that the oven door was being closed and bolted behind him......
Sorrow and propriety will not allow me to continue this sad narrative. Unlike Gretel - there was no escape for the cookie monster from the oven.

Silently, for deep down now they were finding it harder and harder to continue to cling to hope, they dutifully buried her and made their way to the town hall as had become the custom since werewolves had begun attacking.
