Go for it folks!
I hope everyone enjoyed the game! It will get even better as more members join and sign up. Then we can explore other ideas like starting off with one or two wolves who will "turn" a villager every night until they turn / kill everyone off or the villagers eliminate them. So don't be shy about recruiting your friends if you enjoyed the game! The more players - the more interesting it gets, and the more themes and variations we can explore. Any ideas for new variations on the game or special items will be happily received. As the initial core group from this point forward: Fluffy, Bubblegumfrog, Alind, Tiger, Dragonslayer, Hitashisukkymotor, Ragnar56, Esperare and Meustrus will have the final decisions in respect of what goes.
Silver bullets will come into play from now. A count of special items won by players will be listed at the start of the game. Any won during TWG2 will be valid for TWG3 and so on.
I've talked to Fluffy about being the narrator / moderator for an occasional game so I can play, and would be happy to enlist more volunteers from this initial core group with a view to them doing the same for future games. If you're interested please let me know. Post here for now so I can get some idea as to how many people are willing to step up; we can always start a new thread dedicated to this topic.
Please be aware that a little creative writing will be involved as narrator, but the game follows a fairly simple formula - so it's not rocket science. Pretty much anyone can do a half decent job if they apply themselves.
In reality the only thing you need as narrator / moderator is the power to edit or delete posts NOT pertinent to the game, so please don't ask to be global moderator or whatever. I CAN give you staff powers and probably ultimately will on a permanent basis, IF you are happy to assist with the site and run the game from time to time.
But special powers to alter / change the site, structure of the forum etc are not needed in order to host a game - therefore they won't be given! I'd like this site to belong to the core members, but am wary of giving too much access at this point in case I sign in one day to find the forum has been hacked and changed beyond all recognition, and my status as overall administrator taken away - or to find myself banned, courtesy of a hacker under the guise of "I need more access to run the game."
