Dawn had broken. The first rays of light glinted on the water as the first mate cast the ropes and jumped lithely on to the deck of the silent almost ghostly ship. He stood watching as the lucky few were ushered to their rooms. Rumours of weird goings on in the towns and villages had been circulating and the rangers were telling people to stay home and not panic. The captain of the Freedoms choice had both large debts, and other ideas. Secretly he had arranged to collect a select few who had money and influence (and been persuaded by others who had something on him) to flee the coming terror.
The first mate recognised a few of the names on the passenger list but was confident that he had spotted a dragon trainer, a jester with a weird harry potter style lightning tattoo on his forehead and... "aaarg"
he groaned the "vampire unicorn" had managed to sneak on board.
"She better have learnt to use the litter tray or she's going to be toast (or burgers and steaks if the stores began to run down)" he muttered to himself as he watched her disappear below deck. It was too late to throw her off now and they didn't want to draw attention to their leaving but I mean really did she actually think wearing a ton of bright red lipstick and a few jam stain were fooling anyone?? Vampire my ass he'd seen scarier looking my little ponies!!!
The day wore on and the ship made good time flowing downstream. The passengers remaining in their quarters and only appearing when the dinner bell rang. They eyed each other suspiciously over the dinner table making no real effort to converse. It was a relief when the meal ended and the first mate stood to make his announcement
"Ladies, gentlemen, assorted others we have left the three rivers and are now headed across the malaki sea in a week you will all be safe and sound on the shores of sim-sal-a-bim" he raised his glass " to new beginnings"
The toast echoed around the room and the passengers began to disperse heading back to rooms or to promenade on the forward deck.
The first mate headed for the bridge a long shadow of himself leading the way as the sun set behind him. Time to put the ships lights on he thought walking a little faster. Reaching for the rail one leg raised and pointed at the first step he froze
"OOOOOOOOOH"
"NO" he cried "its impossible"
"OOOOOOOOOOOOH"
With a speed that would have impressed usain bolt he flew up the stairs three at a time heading for the safest place on board the bridge trying to ignore the screams from below.
MORNING DAWNS
slowly the passengers begin to un-barricade their doors and come together in the dining room they find the grisly remains ( a few bones and head with an apple in its mouth) of the first mate. Understanding dawns they are trapped on this ship and they are not alone......
It is now the day phase - and the day phase will last until 9pm Saturday 2nd August

The prize for TWG5 winners is FAIRY DUSTN.B. Now that special items are in play: 1. The 1st 24 hour period of the night phase is (a.)for the wolves to decide who they are going to kill off (b.) for a wolf being voted off to play their demon card to protect themselves. 2. The 2nd 24 hour period of the night phase is (a.) for the seer to seer someone of their choosing and (b.) for the werewolf victim to decide whether to use a special item or not / which special item they will use. I needed to clear my head and think... so grabbing my fairy surfboard I bounded down the corridor and up the stairs onto the deck. Clearly far from escaping the threat, we had at least one infected passenger on board. But who? Happily there was a decently brisk breeze today, and the sails flapped happily, speeding them on towards their destination. I made my way to the bow of the ship and then with a well practiced and effortless graceful motion, i tossed my surfboard in the air and doing a triple somersault, deftly landed on it, and began to surf the air currents, always keeping in sight of the ship.
I was in trouble....I had not been able to acquire any special items to protect myself before disembarking, so I would have to be super careful and above all, I needed to get a passenger list, and start assessing suspects.

Grabbing a couple of slices of toast I ran up to the deck, my wooden puppet feet clattering on the stairs, and careful not to get my strings all tangled up. Outside in the distance I could see last years Olympic gold medalist air surfer Riverdance doing her thing. I waved, and finding an empty bench, I sat munching my toast. Only days before I had waved goodbye to my brother Pinocchio, under the mistaken impression that I was leaving my home to sail to safety.
For such a long time I had felt sorry for my brother, whose nose had an alarming habit of growing every time he told a lie, and was so thankful that I had not been born with that affliction. It was unfortunate then to discover just this last week that MY nose grew every time someone said the word "Werewolf".
I mean - what were the chances? Already, even though I had been as quick as possible in the dining room, the constant chatter on the subject meant that my once cute and small button nose was now nearly 5 inches long!
Apart from anything else - it made it terribly difficult for me to drink my coffee - (wooden noses are not really known for their flexibility)
It was just so embarrassing, and though I was tormented by the thought of vicious laughter and cruel jokes, there really was no alternative....If I hoped to survive, I desperately needed to mingle with the other passengers and try to figure out who was guilty.

I made a brief appearance in the dining room, to quickly assess some of the other passengers. I had seen the famous air surfer when I came on board, and had just passed what looked like a wooden puppet in the hall with an extraordinarily large nose! Apparently the unicorn in the absurd lipstick was a vampire, and there was also a jester on board. There had been another guy present at the breakfast table, But I had no notion of what they did for a living. Having grabbed a bagel and a coffee I made my way below decks to see my beloved Dragons.
Very much misunderstood creatures these...If the captain were only smart enough to let them roam free, then werewolves would hardly be an issue, and I had already pointed this out, however, there were the usual objections from the passengers, who believed it unsafe, that my dragons would eat them all - which of course was complete nonsense, although personally I thought there was no real harm in losing the more annoying passengers and had already been tempted on more than one occasion to introduce one of the offenders to my beautiful dragons as "Snack". However the captain was petrified enough about the perceived fire risk without me risking further upsetting him and making things worse.
As I put my back into the winch which lifted the huge cargo doors above my head, Cyril - my Nordic Blue muzzled my neck.
"Patience my beauty" I said, and satisfied the doors were open wide enough, I fastened the winch tightly in place, unchained Cyril and Fafnir (my Chinese Red) and leaped onto Cyril's back. With a single bound and a feisty fiery roar he launched himself into the air, and unraveling his wings, Cyril aimed high in the sky, climbing quickly, and periodically roaring fire joyfully as he welcomed the start of a new day.
Whilst we practiced some basic maneuvers, I could see the other passengers watching us from the deck in awe. The fairy surfer however had joined us and smiling was matching us and at times even outdoing our acrobatics on her little surfboard. I decided that like it or not, I really needed to get to know my fellow passengers, that way I was more likely to figure out who the wolfish culprits were.
As Cyril, Riverdance and I played with the winds and the clouds, I pondered what to do about this unfortunate twist of fate.

Life is just a laugh a minute - so much for us arriving in the werewolf free promised land! Apparently there is no escape from the werewolves, in fact, isolated as they all now were on the ship, with no help, and no hope of help in sight out here in the middle of the Ocean, our future looked bleak indeed.
Of course with everyone so afraid and under so much stress, who do they look to to provide a distraction? The town jester / juggler of course! If they only knew how much I hate my job, and resent feeling obliged to act the fool, entertain, amuse and distract them from their fears. If only I could distract myself!
No... I shall cast off this burdensome fools mantle upon reaching the shores of my new home. Already I have arranged an apprenticeship with Broderick the Black, a most highly respected Wizard, and have begun practicing simple spells and potions.
If these nitwits on board expect to be entertained, I'm sure I can keep them occupied with a spell or two....it would be nice for ME to be entertained for once. For now i need to take a look at my list of suspects and see if I can get some ideas.
so let me see .... so far we have an olympic surfer with super athletic strength, fast and agile - as a result of those rare wolfish genetics perhaps?
We have a wooden puppet - can they change into a werewolf? perhaps unable to fulfill the wish of being a "real girl" instead of a puppet, she decided that being a "real wolf" was the next best thing.
Then we have a dragon master - a bloodthirsty profession, so she would be no stranger to carnage or violence.
The vampire unicorn could perhaps be a clever cover story to throw us off the scent. Therefore no-one will raise their eyebrows too much at them sleeping during the day and feeding at night by the full moon. Why they let this creature on board is beyond me...if the werewolves don't get us, this monstrosity is bound to suck us dry.
So far this is all the information I have to go on. Who are the other passengers and what secrets do they have to hide?
Time will tell!

Aah, I should have known it was too good to be true! It seems there is no escape from this werewolf plague that has swept the continent. So here I find myself on board a ship - having set sail for pastures anew, a fresh start. Now it looks like I shall be lucky to survive the journey. Next to the other passengers, I am a dull and dowdy fellow indeed. We have an olympic surfer, a dragon master, a puppet, a jester, a vampire unicorn - just to mention a few of the colourful and glamorous passenger list. Myself? A humble candlestick maker who invested his life savings to buy a ticket out of a werewolf infested country.
But who I wonder is the guilty fellow? My fellow passengers seem just as baffled and frightened as me. I shall watch and listen and see if I can acquire some clues to throw light on who the culprit is. For now I shall sit on the deck and smoke my pipe awhile, as I watch the antics and acrobatics of the red and blue dragons - (fine beasts), and the surfer.

I take a deep breath and carefully apply my lipstick. I'm still really annoyed at the funny looks and muttered comments in the dining room last night. These people have no understanding of how difficult it is to put on make up when you can't see your REFLECTION. Bet my brother Blade never had to put up with any of this crap!!!!  Time to go hunting. Everyone keeps telling me vampires and werewolves dont like each other. So lets go mingle and anyone who gets my horn in a twist is going straight to the TOP of my suspect list. |

Watching the walking freeks from the water I always wondered what that was like they always seemed so happy to see me but never any fishies. All they ever did was steal my food and they wonders why sharks eats them. Me knows and now me see other attacker and me wonders how they dont realise that it was aboard but I see the aura around them and I knows, but I laugh when I see them now another one dies and that means more fishies for me. But that wierd physco pony wearing a cone on his head me wonders if they know its crazy? But alas crazy cant be fixed by morons and me knows they be stupid the solutions be simple yet so far away silly freeks. Oh FISHY

ok I'm a little in the dark as to Bubblegums character, some kind of sea creature perhaps? He hasn't changed his status to reflect his choice of character - it still says Animal.
However, whilst in general we have a colourful character list, there is one passenger that is conspicuously dowdy, dull and decidedly average as if hoping to fly under the radar...I speak of course of the candlestick maker - hardly a wealthy vocation, so I have to ask myself how he could afford the fare which was quite extortionate.
I respectfully postulate that the fare was probably acquired via robbery with wolfish violence.
I vote cockroach.

Mmmm, so! The fairy surfer votes for me - is this due to tradition? Or could she be a wolf in fairy surfers clothing looking to wreak havoc among the innocent, turning us against each other?
I protest my innocence! My ticket was bought with my life savings.
Is this an innocent villager who has just made a mistake? Or have we just uncovered the identity of our first wolf?

Riverdance doesn't make too many mistakes...so if this isn't the usual traditional vote for cockroach, then I'm guessing she does have a wolfish ulterior motive.
hard to know anything for sure on the first day, and I am torn between wanting River to NOT get bumped off early as seems to be a popular tactic, and the nagging thought that she hasn't as yet had a wolf role - so she could be due!
In which case she may be trying to take out her nemesis under the guise of "Tradition" <----note the fact that in at least ONE previous game, this so called tradition was thrown to the wayside.
After much thought, I also vote Riverdance

Therefore the reaction seems a bit over the top - unless of course River inadvertently hit the nail on the head, and Cockroach is guilty, which then leads me to believe that Dragon would be his wolfish accomplice.
Alternatively for reasons unknown these two harbour jealousies with regard to River who seems a good player, and wish to get rid of her quickly from the game - which yes - if she is indeed a wolf, then this is good news.
However it seems to me she is more of a threat to wolves as earlier games show her gift for exposing werewolves quickly and consistently. Granted this probably means she would also be a formidable wolf - but then if she is voted off early all the time, we're unlikely to get a chance to see her in action in that role. In short I think it's unlikely that whoever's hosting will risk giving her a wolf role knowing she's likely to be killed off early in the game.
Therefore I shall take a chance and vote cockroach so the vote is tied, on the off chance that cockroach and dragon are our wolves - though i think on day one we're probably just overanalysing.
